Featured Anime: Astro Boy
Astro Boy is a television series that premiered in 1963.
It originated as a manga in 1952 written by Osamu Tezuka. A manga is an illustrated graphic novel from Japan. Astro Boy is set in the year 2000 and features a robot that looks like a young boy. The storylines often feature plots where he is fighting against human hating robots or aliens. The manga is very popular and has sold over 100 million copies. On April 7, 2003, the city of Niiza, Saitama registered the Astro Boy character as a resident to coincide with his birthdate in the manga

Anime Club
Who: Any 7-9th Graders interested
What: Anime is Japanese animation.
We will also be looking at cosplay, manga, and art ideas.
Suggestions for activities are welcome.
Where: Jr. High Library
There is a limit to the number of computers available,
so bringing your own device is encouraged.

Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays
Starting October 23rd

3 to 4 pm
